From Plätzwiese, the hike leads past the Dürrensteinhütte and across the high plateau to the 2,307-metre summit of Strudelkopf. The trail is technically easy, with wide views across the Braies Dolomites opening up along the way.
The highlight awaits at the summit: directly opposite stand the Three Peaks with their unmistakable silhouette. The panorama also stretches from Dürrenstein and Hohe Gaisl to Cristallo and the Tofane – making Strudelkopf one of the most rewarding panoramic summits in the Dolomites for a relatively easy hike.
